So, up to now this blog has been focused on my game related interests … but we moved house, work got busy … and gaming was put on the back burner. I’m still noodling around with a couple of things (with Felix Turner) so all is not lost. I’ll get back to it in earnest soon enough, just not quite yet.
In the meantime however I have a new interest:
Drones!
It turns out that when we moved to San Diego that we had also moved “Drone Valley”. San Diego is the center for civilian and military drone development in the US, including 3D Robotics – Chris Anderson’s (of Wired Magazine fame) start-up company manufacturing and designing drones for hobbyist and researchers.
So I’ve decided to make my own drone.
I will document my build progress and thoughts about drones and their implications over the coming weeks, and hopefully, fingers crossed, I will have a video or two of the thing flying!
